HBO kicks off Marchwith two television series of very different themes. On the one hand there will be the second season of “Liar” (2017), a series produced by Sundance TV that follows the sexual abuse the protagonist claims to have suffered. “Breeders” (2020) is more light-hearted and easy-going. British comedy about the vicissitudes of becoming a father.

Day 6 HBO will continue betting on the market for series with short-format episodes  including the release of Season four of “Better Things” (2016), which has been described by critics as an unparalleled achievement, co-created by the famous and why not, controversial, American comedian Louis C.K.

However, we’ll have to wait until mid-month for the streaming service to present its main course with the historical drama “The Plot Against America” (2020) and “Westworld” (2016).

Series creator Jonathan Nolan presents the third season of his most successful show to date, this time starring Aaron Paul. According to the grape vine, this season represents a shift in context compared with its foregoing, but once again featuring discourse about identity, morality and corporeality. David Simon, who recently conceived the last season of “The Deuce” (2017-2019), has woven a historical and political account set in post-World War II United States up to the present day.

Netflix has demonstrated on more than one occasion that they’re more than willing agents to open up multiple frontiers to acquire more content. “The Protector” (2018) is a Turkish action series available on Reed Hastings’ platform from the 6th. All episodes of the second season will be available on the same day, much to the delight of our marathonian ‘binge- watchers’.

Of course, there is also room for original products, as is the case of the Seasons 3 of “Elite” (2018), one of the most popular youth series in Spain, “Ozark” (2017), the Grim science fiction series starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. Series followers wait eagerly to discover what the show’s creators have prepared for this third edition as many felt they’d lost course in Season Two.

Disney + finally reaches Spain with the eagerly-awaited “The Mandalorian” (2019), the series statistics tell us, have reintroduced piracy to Spain. Since its premiere in the United States, the figure of Baby Yoda is everywhere delighting viewers.

Other projects include more “Star Wars” spin-offs, “High School Musical” films and the series set to continue delivering the Marvel Universe for mass consumption, which will be complemented by premieres such as “Black Widow” and “The Eternals”.

Finally, Amazon Prime Video continues in its pursuit to engulf the extent of audiovisuals by swelling its ranks through its inexcusable presence in other countries. The company bought the Italian series “ZeroZeroZero” (2019), another story of cartels and drugs, and “Caronte” (2020), a Mediaset production in association with Big Bang Media (The Mediapro Studio), starring Roberto Álamo.

We can now categorically state that the world of television has never been in such high spirits, while at the same time as dispersed as it is today.
